The Vermont Campaign for Liberty and Vermonters for Economic Health are sponsoring a series of forums in Vermont to educate folks and emphasize the dire financial situation the country and Vermont are in. Deep debt at the national level and excessive spending at the state level all threaten our fredom and liberty. We hope you will both publicize and attend one of these sessions.

We Can't Afford it and the Income Tax
The We Can't Afford it Tour forums are a great place to educate yourself and get involved in doing something about the fiscal problems our state and country face. Most legislators will not respond without public pressure, but who will apply the pressure if it isn't you and me? These informative meetings demonstrate the fiscal mess at both state and federal levels, present ideas for fixing it, and provide contacts with people acting to solve the problem. We are indebted to Tom Licata and Steven Howard for their hard work and presentation skills.
One way I have involved myself is to write an article on how the public can pressure congress to suspend the income tax at the Campaign for Liberty blog. I believe the incentives are available, and the public mood is ripe. A citizen bailout would discourage unprecedented deficit spending and boom the economy. For more see the following post:
